Vedic Mathematics Academy

N.B. This version of the Tutorials for practising vedic Mathematics, has been superseded by an updated version which works on Tablets, Smart Phones and Desktop Computers and does not require any extra software to be installed to work, although they will require a HTML5 compatible browser to work.

Please click here to use the updated versions of these Tutorials.

It should be noted that these Tutorials make use of Java Applets which use the browser plugin, which has been deprecated due to security issues. Therefore Many browsers will no longer support the Java based Tutorials below. The technical details of which browsers and versions of Java still support this version of the Tutorials can be found here (make sure you read the Deprecation section as well as the Browser Support section). Instructions for setting Java for use on this website, can be found here.

There is a strong possibility that by 2017 this older version of the Tutorials will no longer work. Internet Explorer may still support the Java browser plugin, as the NPAPI Wiki article claimed support had been dropped in Internet Explorer, but the Applets still worked in IE11.

Vedic Maths is based on sixteen sutras or principles. These principles are general in nature and can be applied in many ways. These tutorials give examples of simple applications of the sutras, to give a feel for how the Vedic Maths system works. They are based on the work of Kenneth Williams and are a work in progress. For a more complete coverage of the basic uses of the sutras, we recommend you study one of the books available from our Bookstore or a DVD set.

Please support the development and running costs of this website by either sponsoring us or making a donation, which will help pay for the development of further material and keep the current material advert free.
